Mid-Term Evaluation of the Smallholder Paprika Development Project - MALAWI

In January 2006, two GRM consultants performed field visits and met with key informants in the northern, central and southern regions of Malawi for the Mid-term evaluation of the Smallholder Paprika Development Project.

The two experts reviewed the current performance of the Smallholder Paprika Development Project and reported on progress in meeting project objectives as defined in agreement between the European Commission and the Government of Malawi in 2003.

The Smallholder Paprika Development Project commenced in July 2003 and aims to promote agricultural diversification through increased production and promotion of efficient primary processing and marketing of paprika to increase smallholder rural incomes.
