Vulnerable Group Development for Ultra-Poor Programme – BANGLADESH

GRM International BV will provide an Inception Phase Technical Assistant to support and facilitate the operational start-up of the EC funded “Vulnerable Group Development for Ultra-Poor Programme” in Bangladesh. Commencing in March 2007, the Technical Assistant will support all administrative and preparatory tasks relating to planning, monitoring, reporting, procurement, and financial management during the first five months of the inception phase.

The Vulnerable Group Development for Ultra-Poor Programme is designed to assist in the reduction of the level of deep poverty and food insecurity in Bangladesh. The programme will focus on rural ultra-poor women, particularly in the North and North-West of the country, providing them with temporary financial subsistence support to cover basic nutritional needs, complemented by targeted socio-economic development support.
