Framework Contract assignment

Consulting Services for the Design and Implementation of Applied Research and Extension in Agriculture for Cotton, Cashew and Cassava – MOZAMBIQUE

GRM International BV has won another framework contract under the EC Framework Contract – Lot One – Rural Development and Food Security.

The team of two agronomists and one extension/social development expert will commence the mission in mid-August 2006. The assignment will be based in Maputo with some travel to research centres in provincial regions. The consultants will produce, together with the three Ministry of Agriculture institutions, implementation plans and provide technical advice for the design and implementation of improved research and extension models targeting resource-poor producers.

This consultancy will work within the framework of the overall objectives of this project, a project designed to contribute to the poverty alleviation by improving production and productivity of internationally traded agricultural commodities, cotton and cashew nuts and food crops for local population, cassava and potato.
