New Management Team to Lead GRM in Europe

GRM Group Managing Director Kim Bredhauer has announced a new management team to lead GRM's continual expansion into Europe.

Darryn Purdy has been appointed as Europe Group General Manager, effective as of November 1, 2004. Darryn will work closely with European Business Development Director Nick Volk. Darryn has 12 years experience in international development. He was relocated from GRM Australia to South Africa in June 2003, where he successfully established the GRM regional office in Pretoria. Darryn continues to head the Southern African office with his new assignment in Europe.

Janee Crane has been appointed General Manager - GRM UK and Joost Verwilghen has been appointed General Manager - GRM Netherlands, both effective immediately.

Janee is an experienced programme manager specialising in economic governance, institutional strengthening and capacity building. After joining GRM in 1997 as a Project Coordinator, Janee transferred from Australia to Manila as Design Specialist for the GRM managed project, the Philippines-Australia Governance Facility. Janee left Manila and joined the UK office in 2002 as Programme Manager.

Joost has 11 years international development and programme management experience, including six years experience in working with CBOs and NGOs in South Asia at grass roots level. Joost joined GRM in 2001 and as Programme Manager has been involved in business development and project management mainly focusing on Eastern Europe with the European Commission and Dutch Aid.
