GRM's Country Manager, Solomon Islands takes eight months study leave
Mat Pritchard, GRM's Country Manager for the Solomon Islands, is taking eight months study leave to finish his Masters degree. Mat will base himself back in Ripon, UK, to finish his studies on the Open University's Development Management MSc. During a hectic six months in the Solomons, Mat helped towards two project wins - the AusAID-funded RAMSI Governance Support Facility and the World Bank-funded Health Infrastructure Project of the Solomon Islands Health Sector Development Programme. Both projects are expected to mobilise around the middle of August 2005. Mat said "I'm sorry to be leaving the Solomons, it's a great place with a lot happening. However, after 7 years of part-time study I decided it was time to finally finish off my Masters. And becoming a dad for the second time this coming September will also help to keep me busy!" We wish Mat all the best over the next eight months and look forward to having him rejoin us at the end of his studies.
