Our Projects

The ultimate aim of the project was to contribute to increased effectiveness and efficiency of the Romanian dairy industry and to strengthen the relationships between Romanian and Dutch agribusinesses.The project provided opportunities for hands-on training using Dutch technology appropriate at farm level by establishing a Practical Training and Advisory Centre at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Timisoara and setting up five Demonstration Dairy Farms. Project activities further included training of Romanian facilitators/instructors and improvement of farm advisory services through updating of technical knowledge.

1) Practical Training and Advisory Centre was established to provide hands-on training appropriately at farm level; 2) A team of motivated and educated Romanian trainer-facilitator-instructors was able to hand over the required knowledge to the clients of the Practical Training and Advisory Centre; 3) Five dairy demonstration farms were set up to show various managerial and technical options, visitors were able to recognise the opportunities as offered and were able to translate that in terms of how to incorporate the exhibited technology and management methods and approaches into their own farm enterprise; 4) Advisory organisations were updated and informed about modern farm management practices for wider delivery to dairy advisory services.
